Louisville star WR DeVante Parker will miss 6-8 weeks with a fractured bone in his foot. The injury occurred Friday night during practice. Parker led the Cardinals in receiving last season with 55 receptions for 885 yards and 12 touchdowns. This is a big blow to this offense as Parker was projected to put up monster numbers in 2014.
Fantasy Outlook: With Bobby Petrino back running the show in Louisville, big things are expected out of this offense. With sophomore quarterback Will Gardner leading the offense, the Cardinals can still do some damage through the air. As far as fantasy production goes, I think it obviously takes a slight hit, but I think that this offense could still put up good numbers through the air. Guys to watch for these 6-8 weeks: James Quick, Eli Rogers, Kai De La Cruz, and Michaelee Harris. I personally like Quick and Rogers to step up the most. Quick was a top WR prospect in the 2013 class and this may be his opportunity to blossom.
