It has been a rough season for the Kent State star running back. He injured himself early in the season opener and played very little against LSU catching just one pass. As of right now, Archer remains sidelined with a left ankle injury. He totaled 2,577 all purpose yards in 2012 and was expected to do big things in his senior season in 2013. He still can as long as he gets that ankle healed up.
Fantasy Outlook: I think this may actually be a blessing for Archer owners. Without playing much if at all against the toughest defenses he will face all season, he will be ready to go once conference play kicks into gear. Assuming you haven’t already gotten rid of him, I would continue to keep him on my bench for another couple of weeks. My prediction is that he will be back either this week or next week, so those of you that have him just be patient…for now.
Update 9/25: Archer is expected to return this week against Western Michigan. Keep an eye on his touches this week and see how the Golden Flashes get him back into the offense.
